Growing Up Fox documents the lives of a legacy of multiple fox families in different habitats as they navigate territories, raising kits, and hunting, all in the shadow of humanity.
Red foxes are very special to me. Growing up at the New Jersey shore, they, along with birds were some of my first wildlife photography subjects. I admire their perseverance. Observing pristine beaches and dunes become multi-story vacation homes and ever sprawling communities over the years, the foxes found the spaces in between. Their ability to not only adapt but thrive as humanity encroaches is testament to their intelligence. I find this intelligence second only to their cuteness. They will always have a piece of my heart.
