Experience the beauty of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. with our 2025 photography workshop. This immersive session is designed to help you capture the breathtaking cherry blossoms in full bloom. Whether you're just starting out or already an experienced photographer, our expert instructors will provide tailored advice on composition, lighting, and techniques to ensure you capture stunning images.

Throughout the workshop, you'll explore iconic landmarks such as the Tidal Basin, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Washington Monument, all surrounded by the vibrant cherry blossoms. We’ll also cover post-processing tips to help you enhance your photos, ensuring you leave with a collection of stunning shots to cherish.

What To Expect

We begin our day just before sunrise as the soft morning light creeps into the sky. This time of day is the most quiet and beautiful. As the sun rises the flowers are gorgeous as they glow in the golden hour light. We will walk through a set path as we photograph at each of the workshop’s selected locations creating iconic compositions. At lunch we will have a break and picnic under the cherry blossom trees. In the afternoon we will explore close up macro photography and unique compositions of story telling imagery. The day will end with more iconic scenes of the cherry blossoms in sunset golden hour light.

EXCLUSIONS:
Lodging, airfare, meals, alcoholic beverages, personal items (phone, laundry, etc), travel insurance (often can be added on with your airfare for a small fee).

This is a rain or shine event. Stormy days here can be beautiful and the flowering trees are vibrant when saturated! The first pano photograph was taken in the rain.
