Capturing The Light

Each day of our Iceland Midnight Sun summer landscape and wildlife photography workshop is meticulously crafted to maximize your opportunities for capturing stunning images under the enchanting light of the Midnight Sun. With long days out photographing we will have lots of midday breaks to rest and catch up.

Morning Session: Rise with the early light as we embark on our morning session, venturing into Iceland's breathtaking landscapes to capture the serene beauty of dawn. Whether we're photographing majestic waterfalls cascading into misty valleys, tranquil lakes reflecting the hues of the sky, or dramatic volcanic formations bathed in the soft morning glow, our experienced guides will lead us to the most photogenic locations, providing expert insights and tips along the way.

Evening Session: As the day progresses and the sun begins its graceful descent toward the horizon, we reconvene for our evening session, ready to witness the magic of the Midnight Sun casting its golden glow upon Iceland's rugged terrain. Home Away From Home

While accommodations are not included in our Iceland Midnight Sun summer landscape and wildlife photography workshop, we understand the importance of comfortable lodging during your photographic adventure. Iceland offers a range of accommodations, from cozy guesthouses nestled in picturesque villages to luxurious hotels or even camping with panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.

Participants arrange their own accommodations, allowing for flexibility in choosing options that best suit their preferences and budget. Prices for accommodations in Iceland can vary depending on the location, amenities, and time of year. On average, participants can expect hotel costs to range from $350 to $600 USD per night for a comfortable and well-appointed room.

We recommend booking accommodations well in advance to secure your preferred options, especially during the peak summer season when Iceland welcomes a high volume of visitors eager to experience the Midnight Sun phenomenon. Participants will receive a location list to assist you in finding suitable lodging options that align with your needs and preferences.

While accommodations are not included in the workshop fee, we strive to ensure that your stay in Iceland is as enjoyable and seamless as possible, allowing you to focus on capturing stunning images and creating unforgettable memories amidst the enchanting landscapes and wildlife of this extraordinary land.

Getting Around

Transportation during our Iceland Midnight Sun summer landscape and wildlife photography workshop is not included in the package. Participants should book AWD or 4x4 SUVs with added insurance package to handle Iceland’s terrain.

Rental car prices in Iceland can vary depending on the vehicle type, rental duration, and insurance coverage. On average, participants can expect rental costs to range from $100 to $250 per day. Additionally, we strongly advise adding on comprehensive insurance coverage, due to the rugged terrain and unpredictable weather conditions encountered while exploring Iceland's remote regions. Booking a reliable rental car with adequate insurance coverage ensures peace of mind and allows participants to navigate Iceland's roads with confidence, whether traversing gravel tracks, crossing rivers, or venturing off the beaten path in search of hidden gems.

Payment Options

Pay in installments or pay in full now. Installments start with a nonrefundable deposit to hold your spot. The balance is then due 3 months ahead of the trip.

I’m flying in, what airport should I look at?

The main airport to Iceland is Keflavík International Airport (KEF).

What kind of car should I rent? What are the roads like?

We will be driving on a mix of paved and dirt roads throughout the trip. An SUV or vehicle with AWD or 4 wheel drive (4x4) is recommended for the terrain.

Cancellations Policy

The deposit amount of $1500 is non-refundable. Should you wish to cancel with at least 60 days notice on a trip paid in full any amount paid over the deposit can be deferred to another trip. No refunds/transfers will be given within 60 days of the trip dates.

Travel Insurance

Guests are responsible to obtain travel insurance for this trip. You can often add this on from your airline when booking your flight or through a third party service. We are not responsible for delays, inclement weather, travel cancellations, or costs associated with weather or travel disruption.
