Advanced Landscape Photography Intensive

Overview

This course is an intensive road trip style workshop for intermediate to advanced photographers who understand their camera and want to build on their portfolio. We will be photographing at hand picked locations in New Hampshire. On this trip will will go hard with very early mornings, late nights and a lot of instruction on compositional techniques and complex captures. The locations are diverse from grand scenes of wildflowers with rustic barns, flower ringed lakes and mountains, quaint New England style churches with flowers as well as tighter macro scenes.

During the day, immerse yourself in fields blanketed with vibrant lupines, their hues painting the landscape in a stunning display of color. Learn techniques for capturing the delicate details and vibrant hues of these wildflowers against the backdrop of rolling hills and distant mountains. Explore different angles and perspectives to create captivating compositions that showcase the beauty of this natural spectacle.

As evening descends, prepare to be awestruck by the star-filled sky stretching overhead. Under the guidance of our expert instructor, delve into the art of night photography, mastering long exposures and astrophotography techniques to capture the ethereal beauty of the Milky Way and celestial bodies against the dark canvas of the night.

Your Wildflower Adventure

Our trip begins just before sunrise on the first day. (If you are traveling from far away, I recommend arriving the night before and staying in town.) Each day will have a sunrise session, a lunch break, and an afternoon session. Weather permitting we will also have at least one night of milky way photography featuring the lupine.

Participants can choose to join as either a standard reservation or upgrade to the Retreat to add accommodations, extra instruction, and special surprises.

Cancellations Policy

Should you wish to cancel with at least 60 days notice your reservation can be deferred to another trip. No refunds/transfers will be given within 60 days of the trip dates.

Inclusions / Exclusions

Your workshop fee includes location scouting/planning, guiding, and instruction from award winning photographer Kate G.

All reservations do not include transportation, meals, gratuities, trip insurance or any personal items. This trip has options to include or exclude lodging. Upgraded Retreat reservations include lodging for the nights specified.

Travel Insurance

Guests are responsible to obtain travel insurance. You can often add this on from your airline when booking your flight or through a third party service. We are not responsible for delays, inclement weather, travel cancellations, or costs associated with weather or travel disruption.

Wildlife Participation

By joining this trip you agree to the understanding that the natural landscapes and wildlife are wild. We will make every effort with the lodge and guides to be in hotspot locations but we cannot guarantee that our flora and fauna will cooperate.

Our itinerary is flexible to adjust for light, weather and any other conditions that may impact our sessions.
